IBADAN CIRCULAR ROAD PROJECT: Makinde's Success Story Has Become Opposition's Nightmare

IBADAN CIRCULAR ROAD PROJECT: Makinde's Success Story Has Become Opposition's Nightmare  The criticism being raised against the SPV handling the ongoing road construction of the Ibadan circular road has once again exposed the crass ignorance deposited in the APC as an opposition party in Oyo State. It is not beyond common knowledge that the SPV is a child of necessity borne out of the fact that the company handling the project had to securitize their assets under this new company in order to complete the projects before them as and when due  As much as I understand that an opposition party serves as a watchdog in a democracy, such must be done within the prism of logic. But the Oyo state APC members have been acting in the contrary by always exhibiting crass desperation for power by attempting fruitlessly to twist facts and events just for the purpose of painting a bad image of the Seyi Makinde-led government in the eyes of unsuspecting members of the public. For th

Ibadan Cirular Road: We have saved over N100 billion for people of the state -Oyo Government

Ibadan Cirular Road: We have saved over N100 billion for people of the state ~Oyo Government *N138.2bn for 110 KMS better than N70bn for 32kms by previous govt ...says Gov Makinde has saved over N100b for people of the state The Government of Oyo State, on Saturday, explained that the recent award of the construction of 110kilometres Ibadan Circular Road for N138.2 Billion is a better bargain for the people of the State than the expired 32 km contract  awarded by the immediate past government at the cost of N70bn. It noted that at the cost of N138.2 billion for the entire 110 kilometres stretch, the state government has saved about N100 Billion, adding that those creating controversies around the recent award of the contract are doing so purely for mischief. Going by simple logic, the 110kms, broken down into three, would be, at least, 36kms each. Therefore, the past APC government that awarded just 32kms for N70billion would as well have awarded the entire 110kms for more
