OPINION:OYO APC TEETHING COMPLICATIONS, A PERENNIAL LIFE THREATENING OCCURRENCE|DEJI OLA

OYO APC TEETHING COMPLICATIONS, A PERENNIAL LIFE THREATENING OCCURRENCE |DEJI OLA First of all, I will like to congratulate Oyo state APC for their steadfastness in moving from the first phase of opposition life to the next but it is shameful seeing them undergoing series of teething complications while their counterpart in other states are doing wonderfully well in their roles. It is now crystal clear that they are still undergoing teething and this is tantamount to the fact that there are no vibrant and effective opposition in the pace setter state. Even, I always laugh at their renew efforts to group with other opposition parties in the state but the result is still nothing to write home about as they are all hell bent in leaving issues which can directly impact people's lives to discuss non-issues. Apparently none of those parties are playing genuine role of a strong opposition. Instead of picking up valid points of interest, issues that will do people of Oyo state

NEW YEAR ADDRESS: SEYI MAKINDE SUMMARISES 2020 ACHIEVEMENTS, PLEDGES OYO STATE PEOPLE,STAKEHOLDERS TO DO MORE IN 2021 NEW YEAR ADDRESS BY HIS EXCELLENCY SEYI MAKINDE, THE EXECUTIVE GOVERNOR OF OYO STATE My Dear Good People of Oyo State, As 2020 closes, I am reminded of the words of the very popular 1897 hymn by Johnson Oatman Jr, “Count your Blessings.” This song encourages us to take stock of the good things that happened in our lives. When we do this, we often find that we have overlooked many positives.  Many would describe 2020 as a tough year. At the beginning of the year, the drop in oil prices led to a huge drop in revenue from federal allocations and attendant economic meltdown. In March 2020, many states in Nigeria had cases of the coronavirus disease. This necessitated an interstate lockdown by the Federal Government. Although we did not effect a total lockdown in Oyo State, we were not spared the economic and social effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
