Wariz Oladeinde, one of the teenager boys arrested over the killing of Sofiat Okeowo in Abeokuta, has been discharged by an Ogun State magistrate’s court. r Recall eaglesighttnews said that Sofiat was killed and her head cut off, burnt for money ritual in Oke Aregba area of Ogun State by her former and current boyfriends, Mustakeem Balogun and Soliu Majekodunmi. FOUR days following the presentation of Staff of Office to Oba Lekan Balogun, Alli Okunmade II, as new Olubadan, eaglesighttnews has learned that Olubadan-in-Council, yesterday, resolved to review honorary chieftaincy titles conferred, either wrongly or rightly, after the coming Ramadan fast. BREAKING: ASUU Extends Strike For 2 Months

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has extended its two-month warning strike. The decision to extend the strike was made at a meeting of the union’s National Executive Council, or NEC, held Friday night in Abuja. Although the union has not made a public announcement about the meeting’s outcome, a source told Vanguard that members decided to extend the strike for another two months at the meeting, which was conducted in a secret location. The plaintiff in the matter, Honourable Salisu Umoru, had dragged the APC, the Chairman Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee and Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni, and the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC before the court to challenge the planned convention.
