BREAKING: ASUU Extends Strike For 2 Months

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has extended its two-month warning strike.

The decision to extend the strike was made at a meeting of the union’s National Executive Council, or NEC, held Friday night in Abuja.

Although the union has not made a public announcement about the meeting’s outcome, a source told Vanguard that members decided to extend the strike for another two months at the meeting, which was conducted in a secret location.

The meeting’s outcome was being crafted, according to the source, and will be revealed in a statement to the media soon.
