RE : MAKINDE NOT PROACTIVE;  ADEOLU AKANDE GOOFED AGAIN|Abolade Olosun It is always  disheartening, seeing a supposed learned personnel, reasoning otherwise because of partisanship and ambition at the detrimerit of his own people.   I'm talking in particular of Prof Adeolu Akande, Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC)  talking otherwise when reacting to Sasa market incident.   Instead of uprooting  the Genesis of this criminal activities in the country, ethnic bigotry of the government at the center that allowed situation in the country to degenerate badly to this extent he was blaming GSM that is putting all logistics in place to keep us safe. How else could one be more proactive than immediate deployment of security agents to the scene of fracas and imposing curfew quickly, within 24 hours .  This man talking, a man at the helm of communication affairs in the country for that matter, knows that we are already sitting on gun powder in this country. There have been  great expectation from Nigerians  on who th next IGP would likely be , perhabs from the North, South , East or West.  A source from a major stake holder and SAN said it is not constitutionally right for IGP Adamu to remain in office after his tenure has ended. This afternoon, I met with His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari to brief him on the security situation in Oyo State and seek collaborations required for some of our intended security plans to work effectively.   I asked for greater synergy between the state and federal security agencies. Also, I requested collaboration with the Nigeria Immigration Service for proper documentation of foreign nationals working in mines in the state. Mr President promised to look into these issues.
