A MARVEL ON THE THRONE AT AGODI SECRETARIAT - BY AFOLABI AKINFENWA

Lexically, the word marvel is said to be someone or something that is wonderful or astonishing, invariably It is a thing that beats the imagination and captivates us.

His Excellency, Engineer Seyi Makinde aptly fits the bill. In looking for a fitting physical representation of the word marvel. No doubt, Governor Seyi Makinde is a round peg in a round hole.

The people's governor is captivating as his style and approaches to governance is one that inspires and motivates.

Governor Seyi Makinde's brilliance, courage, doggedness and persistence encourages Oyo youths to dare to dream, chase goals purposefully and they are doing so with full determination.

Most importantly, our amiable governor's  exemplary style of leadership emphasizes the need for hard work, commitment, humility and patience. 

These virtues are so much needed in the world we are today where everyone seems to be in a hurry to reap when they have not put in the efforts.

Governor Seyi Makinde mode of governance is an encouragement for all youths who aspire to greatness. There is an obvious philosophy to his accomplishments,
'hard work and discipline pays on the long run.
But when you track his antecedence, you begin to see a consistent pattern in the life of a man who kept his focus, served others, seized the moment and became a force to reckon with through determination and the grace of God.

Where there is a purpose, great men of valor always find a way. Engineer Seyi Makinde is a man of purpose.

As a philanthropist and lover of people, he knew that to truly touch peoples' lives and impact on their future, to truly empower people and make them masters of their own fate, he must brave the odds to secure political power giving freely so that he may truly influence things in the interest of all.

His exceptional leadership and achievements within the period he has occupied the seat of governance in Oyo State is a testament to this.

May God keep GSM steady as he continue to steer the ship of Oyo State to greatness.
