IBADAN NORTH EAST AFFAIRS:  AKINTAYO'S WIFE EMPOWERS IBNELG CITIZENRY, PROMISE MORE IN THE LATER DAYS AHEAD.

The wife of the Executive Chairman of Ibadan North East Local Government, Mrs Khadijah Bunmi Akintayo has distributed five million worth of empowerment materials to the people of the council area.

Mrs Akintayo in her address said the empowerment programme is targeted at making life meaningful to all and sundry likewise to aligning with the good and purposeful programmes of His Excellency, Engr Oluseyi Makinde to free people from the grip of poverty.

Some of the items distributed include, deep freezers, sewing machines, grinding machines, hair dryers, clippers, vulcanizing machines and other items.

The chairperson used the occasion to felicitate with her Excellency, Mrs Tamunominini Olufunke Makinde as she clocked 49 recently, she then prayed to God to grant her long life to serve humanity and enjoy her own hard-earned labour.

While commending the effort of the Chairman for the empowerment programme at this period, a director in ministry of local government and Chieftaincy matters, Alhaji Taiwo Mustapha who represented the honourable Commissioner for local government and Chieftaincy matters urged the beneficiaries not to misuse the opportunity or see it as just a national cake but to make judicious use of the given items thereby motivate the chairman to do better.

In her words of appreciation, Mrs Yetunde Babalola gave kudos to the duo of the Chairman and his wife for putting smile on numbers of people at this trying period and beseech God's guidance on Akintayo's administration.
