TEAM GSM PASS A VOTE OF CONFIDENCE ON THE GOVERNOR SEYI MAKINDE.

Team GSM, Ibadan South West Local Government is a group formed for the purpose of entrenching democratic ideals in the political landscape of Ibadan South West and by extension, Oyo State. The group which has its tentacles in all the twelve wards in the Local Government is committed to ensuring that Governor Seyi Makinde gets another four years mandate after the completion of his first term in office. 

Sequel to the pronouncement by some elements within the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP dissociating themselves from the leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde, we wish to condemn the pronouncement in strong terms as it falls short of our expectations and underscores the giant strides of our Governor in making life more meaningful for all and sundry. The pronouncement of these disgruntled elders represent their personal views and not the collective views of all the members of our great party.

We condemn in entirety the communique issued at the end of the bogus meeting which was attended by very few elders who have lost their relevance and have become liability to the party. These leaders have outlived their relevance and by their actions have confined themselves to political oblivion because of their unquenchable greed for materialism. 

It is common knowledge that Governor Seyi Makinde is doing everything possible to make life better for the people of Oyo State and at the same time fulfilling his obligations to the party that brought him to power. Since the Governor has not deviated from his promises and standard set by the party we pass a vote of confidence on the Governor. 

It is therefore worthy to state clearly that the actions of these elders does not reflect the true feelings of the members of the party as majority of the members of our great party are on the same frequency with our amiable Governor. The Governor’s efforts at making life better for all is appreciated by the leadership of the party in Ibadan South West Local Government. 

The leadership of the party in Ibadan South West Local Government in consonance with the Leaders and Elders Council stand solidly behind the leadership of the Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde. Governor Seyi Makinde remains the leader of the party and the party remains one indivisible entity. 

Conclusively, we want to assure our amiable Governor of our undivided loyalty and support. We wish to state here that we are fully committed to the “4+4” project of our Governor as backed by the leadership of the party in Oyo State.
