Ibadan North LG, Sets To Host The Maiden Second Edition Of "The NYSC Inter Local Government Football and Volley Ball Competition"

Ibadan North Local Government Council is set to host the second edition of the "NYSC Inter Local Government Football and Volley Ball Competition" respectively.

The competition, tagged "NYSC Inter Local Government Football and Volley Ball Competition" will kick off at liberty stadium on 11th November 2021 and also have its finals played on the 16th of December 2021 at the Adamansigba main bowl in ibadan.

According to Mr Austin Obuerafor the sports coordinator, NYSC, said the motive and purpose of the competition was to foster unity, engage youth corp members with sporting activities and furthermore to discourage youth corp members from unnecessary travels.

The executive chairman of ibadan north local government, hon. Yussuf Sahib Oladayo (Agba Egbe) through his special assistance on media and publicity, Mr Akinwale Bodija speaking with newsmen reiterated the commitments of honorable Yusuff Sahib towards sporting activities and youths empowerment most especially in ibadan north local government. He said:

"I can remember vividly the chairman of Ibadan north local government welcoming the youth corpers to the local government, assuring the corp members of his utmost support and letting them know his doors are widely open to innovations and suggestions that has to do with the youths in the council area. Therefore it's not new that ibadan north local government is having a major stake on this competition. Akinwale concluded.


The second edition will see to the participation of twelve local governments from Ibadan, with Ibadan north local government having two representatives respectively.
