The King IS Dead! Long Live The  King!!"- Toyin Balogun, Mariam Aliyu Congratulates 42nd Olubadan Of Ibadanland, Extols Makinde Solomonic Wisdom...|Continue Reading

Mrs Toyin Balogun and Alhaja Mariam Aliyu who are also chieftains under the People Democratic Party (PDP) have felicitated His Imperial Majesty Oba Senator (Dr) Moshood Olalekan Balogun Alliwo (Alli Okunmade 11) on his successful coronation to fully ascend the throne of his forefathers.

Hon Toyin Balogun  made this available during a media chats with Eaglessightnews. The statements as forwarded to eaglesighttnews reads,

THE KING IS DEAD!LONG LIVE THE KING!!
The proclamation above is traditionally made following the accession of a new monarch in numerous Countries. It was first declared when Charles VII of France ascended the French throne.
The seemingly contradictory phrase simultaneously announces the passage or death of the previous monarch and assures the public of continuity of the monarchy by saluting the new King.
The recent demise of the  exemplary, distinguished and peace loving late monarch; His Imperial Majesty Oba Saliu Adetunji Aje Oguguniso 1 cast a pall over the land .

Our hearts were bowed with grief when our reverred royal father left us to join his ancestors.

Ibadan,a land and people replete with a rich tapestry of culture mourned the demise of the custodian, mascot and symbol of its traditions, momentarily disconcerted over the possible rupture of a reliable, tested and time worn monarchical progression template.

All citizens, host and guest alike, wondered in trepidation if the orderly, noble collegiate monarchical system which had hitherto been the envy of all and sundry would descend into chaos.

Thank God for the Solomonic wisdom with which the Pathfinder of the PDP in the South West; HE Governor Seyi Makinde approached and resolved the looming conundrum.

The ascension of our father; Kabiyesi Dr Senator Mohood Lekan Ishola Balogun Alli Okumade 11 onto the throne of notable exemplars like Kabiyesi Saliu Adetunji,Oba Yesufu Asanike,Oba Odulana Odugade,Baale Apampa,Are Latoosa Bashorun Ogunmola Bashorun Oluyole and all other illustrious Olubadans is like a breath of fresh air which has helped our mourning hearts to heal.
Kabiyesi Mohood Ishola Lekan Balogun ( we call him Daddynton) is a personage who destiny, time, variegated and multi faceted life experiences has prepared for this call to higher service.

His Imperial Majesty is a genial, forthright, urbane, outspoken, gentleman of superior intellect who always has a word of banter to ease the worries and coax smiles from the faces of the sad or disturbed.

Baba is so caring,so approachable and always willing to go the extra mile to put smiles on the faces of his people. This makes our hearts joyful because of the realization that though we had recently relinquished a Royal  Father to the bosom of his ancestors,we have just gained a worthy and able replacement.

SNIPPET OF KABIYESI's ORIKI

Omo Alli Iwo,Omo Oba meje,Oba meje ni n je nile Baba re,Omo Soun l'Ogbomosho

Omo gbana bori, ogbori iya taka somo
Ishola Kalemori wunpari,jagunjagun wunpari

Elenu ona meta, eru Ile arin kan, abanigbele arin kan, awon omo ile a rin laarin gbungbun

Kaabiyesi ooo!

May Ibadan land, sons, daughters and guests alike experience a new lease of life,a time of refreshing,a revamping of the economy, peace, prosperity and progress under the auspices of your reign Daddy.

YOUR DAUGHTERS
Mrs Toyin BALOGUN
